The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Francisco Camacho, predicted this Wednesday the greatest success for the delegation that will represent the country in the I Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games, which will take place from the 19th to the 26th of this month, in Santa marta colombia.
Camacho urged the Creole athletes to put the name of the country at the top in the massive fair that will bring together more than 20 countries.
“From the Ministry of Sports we wish all the successes in the world to our athletes who will be in charge of raising the name of the Dominican Republic in this new regional competition,” said Camacho.
The Dominican delegation will be present in the sports of sailing, surfing, beach volleyball, beach handball, in both branches, skateboarding, beach wrestling and open water swimming.
“Work has been done on time so that the boys can have an outstanding participation in this event,” said the head of the sports portfolio about the event where more than 1,400 visitors are expected to attend, including delegates, athletes, and leaders.
Camacho ordered the delivery last week of the clothing that the delegation will use in the games. The delivery, in his name, was made by Vice Ministers Franklin De la Mota and Kennedy Vargas.
