Millie Bobby Brown captured attention at the world premiere of Stranger Things season five. The event took place Thursday, November 6, at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The 21-year-old British actress wore an off-the-shoulder, sheer lace gown. The dress featured feather details on the neckline and hips. She completed her look with Chopard dangling earrings and a bun hairstyle.
Brown posed on the red carpet with her husband, Jake Bongiovi. Several Stranger Things co-stars also joined her, including David Harbour, Sadie Sink, and Winona Ryder. Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin were also present.
Jake Bongiovi, 23, the son of rock icon Jon Bon Jovi, also made a stylish appearance. He supported his wife in a red velvet suit. The couple married in May 2024.
This red carpet event marks the beginning of the end for Stranger Things. The series launched Brown to global fame when it premiered in 2016. The final season’s first block of episodes will debut on November 26.
Additional episodes are set for release on December 25. The series conclusion will then follow on December 31.
Brown has expressed her readiness for the show to conclude. She told Glamour in October 2023 that she was prepared for the series to end. She has portrayed the telekinetic character Eleven for almost 10 years.
"When you’re ready, you’re like, ‘Alright, let’s do this. Let’s face this last year. Let’s get out of here,’" she stated about filming season five. She added, "Stranger Things requires a lot of filming time and prevents me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So, I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you, and goodbye.’"
Beyond promoting the final Stranger Things season, Brown is embracing her new role as a mother. She has been adapting to this new chapter.
Speaking to British Vogue in an interview published Wednesday, November 5, she described motherhood as "a beautiful and amazing journey." She noted, "It has already taught us so much."
"Perspective is fundamental," Brown explained. "The small things in life are so much more valuable. Our days are filled with cuddles, laughter, and love. It’s pure endless joy."
She also praised her husband’s role in parenting. "We’re 50-50 on everything," she said. Brown expressed gratitude, stating, "That’s why I’m so grateful I’ve chosen him as my partner in this life; he’s the most incredible dad."
Brown further discussed her commitment to protecting her daughter’s privacy. She revealed she will not publicly share the baby’s name. This decision stands until "she’s ready to decide for herself."
"For me, it’s so important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to, maybe one day, share it herself," Brown told the publication. She emphasized, "It’s not my place to unwillingly put her in the limelight."
Brown added, "If one day she decides to show her personality to the world, like I did when I was young, we will support her." However, she concluded, "But right now, while she’s so small, as parents, it’s our duty to protect her from that."
The young parents first announced they had adopted a baby in a joint Instagram post in August. They shared the news privately at the time.
"This summer, we welcomed our sweet daughter through adoption," the couple wrote in their post. They expressed excitement "to begin this beautiful new chapter of parenthood, in peace and privacy."
Their message concluded simply: "And then, there were three. With love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi."
