Milan-San Remo is left without one of its great favorites to win in the 2023 edition. This Wednesday the Ineos Grenadiers team has announced that tom pidcockrecent winner of the Strade Bianche, will not start the Classicissima next Saturday.
From the Ineos Grenadiers point out that “Pidcock has been monitored by doctors after his fall in the last stage of Tirreno-Adriatico” and “After displaying symptoms of a mild concussion, Tom will rest for a while according to what is established by the shock protocols”.
Rod Ellingworthone of the managers of the Ineos Grenadiers, thus assessed the loss of Pidcock for Milan – San Remo. “It’s heartbreaking for Tom and for the team. We saw in the Strade Bianche the shape in which he was and I know everything he could have given us in Milan – San Remo. But the health of the runners is our priority and he will follow the advice of our medical team to make sure he is one hundred percent ready to face the classic season”.
