Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan got the all-clear from medical tests after his scary collision with teammate Alex Jiménez against Udinese. He was knocked out for a few seconds and taken off on a stretcher during the 4-0 win in Udine. Maignan spent the night in the hospital under observation for a head injury.
The club said Maignan’s tests showed no major issues and he can start training again soon. He’s expected to follow a solo training plan for three days before joining his teammates and coach Sérgio Conceição.
Maignan’s Replacement Takes Center Stage
With Maignan out, Marco Sportiello took over in goal and he’ll likely start again on Sunday when Milan hosts Atalanta. Milan is currently ninth in the table, while Atalanta is third.
