Couple Injured in Migue’s Truck Accident Testifies Before Prosecutor’s Office
Victims Arrive Home and Get Out of Car Before Being Struck
A 34-year-old man, who ran over a couple in Migue’s and fled the scene, testified before the Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday. The couple was rushed to ICT after being injured in the accident.
Driver Leaves Scene After Hitting Couple
The couple arrived home and got out of their car, when the driver, who was behind the wheel of a truck, struck them. The driver stopped after hitting them, got out of his vehicle, saw them on the ground, and then left the scene in his truck. The accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
Driver Turns Himself In Later That Day
Later that day, the driver turned himself in at a police station in Solís de Mataojo, where he resides.
Formal Hearing Scheduled for Tuesday
The formal hearing for the case is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
Victims Remain Hospitalized
The victims remain hospitalized, with one of them in the ICU.
