Miderec awards the winners of the U-14 district baseball tournament

The Ministry of Sports and Recreation delivered this Tuesday more than 550,000 pesos in prizes to the teams occupying the first places in the U-14 National District Baseball Tournament, Miderec 2022, dedicated to the immortal of Sports Enrique -Quique-Cruz, in act held in the James Rodríguez room of the portfolio.

The activity was headed by the Vice Ministers of Sports Franklin de la Mota and Kennedy Vargas, accompanied by the District Sports Director Jorgito Rodríguez; and the honorary adviser of Miderec and head of mission for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Miguel Camacho.

De La Mota, along with Vargas and Camacho, delivered a first prize of 200,000 pesos to the Nao Academy, the team that was crowned champion of the contest; 150,000 to Liga Natera for second place; and 100,000 to Liga Vizcaíno, as well as Club Deportivo Naco, who shared the third step.

“On behalf of President Luis Abinader and Minister of Sports Francisco Camacho, we heartily congratulate all the leagues that saw action in this U-14 event, where there was competitiveness at the highest level and with this we close our sports activities in this 2022” De la Mota said.

Miguel Camacho, on his side, called on young people to play sports, but also to study so that they can achieve their life goals.

“Sports and studies go hand in hand. That is why we want to congratulate the winning teams, as well as Jorgito Rodríguez for his tireless work so that everything was a success, ”he indicated.

The promoter of artistic events and shows Symon Díaz, who sponsored the district U14 Baseball Tournament, affirmed that he will continue to work hand in hand with the Ministry of Sports in future events of this type, since he believes in promoting the sport hand in hand with Young.

The immortal of Sports in amateur baseball, Enrique -Quique- Cruz, thanked the gesture for having dedicated the baseball contest to him.

Ángel Presinal (Nao) Doñé and his wife Josefina Paulino de Presinal, who received the first place award, expressed words of gratitude for this award and stated that “we will continue working tirelessly with the youth so that they achieve their dreams.”
