A common desire among tech users is a more connected digital life. We want our devices to work together effortlessly. Microsoft is taking a big step in this direction with Windows 11. They are currently testing a new feature. It lets you continue using an Android app on your PC after starting it on another device. This handy tool is available for Windows Insider members to try. Specifically, those in the Dev and Beta Channels can access it. For now, it only works with the Spotify app.

If you are a Windows Insider member with access, you can try this feature. First, connect your Android device to your PC. Then, open the Spotify app on your Android device and play music.
On Windows 11, a message will appear on the Taskbar. It will say, “Resume from your phone.” Below that, you will see an option: “Continue on this PC.” Choose this to keep playing music on your PC.
When you click on the message, Windows will open the Spotify desktop app. Or, if you don’t have it, a prompt will ask you to install Spotify. The music will then resume from where it stopped on your phone. This makes switching between devices smooth and simple.
