Microsoft is set to bring its Copilot Vision feature to apps on Windows, Android, and iOS, expanding beyond its current web browser availability. This feature can analyze video in real-time through a smartphone’s camera, offering various suggestions based on what the camera captures – from plant care advice to home decoration tips.
Imagine pointing your camera at a wilting plant, and your phone suggests ways to revive it. Or, aiming it at your living room, and getting ideas for rearranging the furniture. That’s what Copilot Vision promises.
The feature is already live on the Play Store and App Store, with a Windows release coming soon. Microsoft is currently updating its Windows Copilot app to support Copilot Vision, which will first be available to Windows Insiders next week.
Unlike the Recall feature, which automatically takes photos, Copilot Vision works more like sharing your screen. Microsoft has also added other features to Copilot, including memory support, customization, web page commands, podcast creation, and in-depth research.
How it Works
The idea is to make Copilot Vision a go-to tool for daily tasks and projects. By integrating it into various apps, Microsoft aims to make the feature more accessible and user-friendly.
Additional Features
Some of the new features added to Copilot include:
- Memory support for storing and recalling information
- Customization options for personalizing the experience
- Web page commands for easier navigation
- Podcast creation tools for content producers
- In-depth research capabilities for deeper insights
The expansion of Copilot Vision to more platforms is a significant step forward for Microsoft’s AI-powered tool. As the company continues to refine and improve the feature, it will be interesting to see how users respond and what new use cases emerge.
