Microsoft and LinkedIn launch incredible program for 10 million people

THE Microsoft Y LinkedIn announced the next step in the program skills for jobswith the free provision of 350 new courses🇧🇷 Also, we have six new certificates Career Fundamentals for six of the most in-demand jobs in the digital economy.

The two companies will also offer 50 thousand scholarships LinkedIn Learning to support people in digital empowerment. The objective? By 2025, Microsoft aims to help empower and certify 10 million of people in digital skills.

Strengthen knowledge and skills in the Digital world

This launch comes in the context of the Global Skills Initiative. In other words, the same initiative that helped 80 million people in their job search around the world through access to digital skills resources.

Within the framework of this initiative, Microsoft has already trained more than 417,000 people in Portugal, who have completed more than 7,000 learning paths on LinkedIn and Microsoft Learn.

Among the courses most taken by the Portuguese are “Get Started with AI”, “Create PowerApps” and “Power Platform Fundamentals”. On the other hand, in Microsoft Learn and “Project Manager”, “Critical Soft Skills” and “Data Analyst” on LinkedIn.

Using data from LinkedIn and the Burning Glass Institute, Microsoft determined six of the most in-demand roles globally, namely:

  1. administrative professional,
  2. Project manager,
  3. Commercial analyst,
  4. System administrator,
  5. Software developer
  6. Data analyst.

For those interested, the new courses and certificates will be offered in eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic.

Career Essentials Certificates in collaboration with Microsoft and LinkedIn

The new Career Essentials Certificates aim to help fill the skills gap, from the most basic of basic digital literacy to the most technical and advanced. In this way, providing certifications recognized by the industry as essential for obtaining employment.

Once a learning path is complete, individuals receive a LinkedIn badge that identifies the certificate earned and indicates to employers the skill in the skill set.

Additionally, Microsoft-developed courses are available through Microsoft Community Training (MCT). In addition, they are also available in downloadable format for use in other learning management systems (LMS) for non-profit partners.
