Brazilian esports team MIBR staged a remarkable comeback to eliminate European rival G2 Gozen from the VALORANT Game Changers Championship, delivering a pointed response to pre-match controversy.
MIBR secured a dramatic 2-1 victory in Seoul on Thursday, November 27, concluding with an overtime win on the decisive map. The crucial match unfolded amidst an earlier social media spat involving a G2 player.
A G2 competitor had posted a “dubious tweet” regarding Brazilian players on Wednesday, November 26, setting a tense stage for the clash. Following their victory, MIBR’s official social media account posted a defiant message.

In the best-of-three series, MIBR started strong, taking Bind 14-12. G2 Gozen then equalized by winning Sunset 13-5.
The final map, Split, saw MIBR fall behind significantly, with G2 establishing a dominant 10-2 lead. However, MIBR, led by Paula “bstrdd” Naguil, mounted a historic comeback, ultimately winning the map 14-12 in overtime to secure the series.
MIBR will return to the servers on Friday, November 28, facing KRÜ in an elimination match at 11:00 UTC.
Another Brazilian team, Team Liquid Visa (TLV), is also competing. TLV will play Shopify Rebellion Gold earlier on Friday at 08:00 UTC in the upper bracket, with a victory securing their spot directly in the finals.
