It seems the tumultuous love story of Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox has taken a heartwarming turn. Sources close to the couple suggest they are on a clear path to fully getting back together. A well-known entertainment publication first reported this news, highlighting a significant shift in their relationship.
“They’re in a really good spot and moving towards being together again,” a source shared. This newfound closeness is largely thanks to their daughter, Saga, who is now four months old. Apparently, having a baby has truly brought the pair closer than ever before.
The journey to this point has been quite a rollercoaster for the two stars. Back in November 2024, the same publication confirmed that MGK, 35, and Fox, 39, had separated romantically after she announced her pregnancy. However, since their daughter arrived in March, they’ve been spotted spending more and more time side-by-side. They even took a trip to Costa Rica earlier this month, which seemed to signal a thawing of old tensions.
“Things are going great, and they’ve reconnected in a big way,” the source added. It’s clear they are practically a couple again, with the source noting, “They’ve been spending every night together with the baby.”
Despite this togetherness, don’t expect wedding bells or official relationship titles just yet. The source explained that MGK and Fox are “not labeling their relationship.” Why the hesitation? It simply adds “extra stress” they don’t need right now. The Transformers actress prefers to keep things flexible. This way, she has space if MGK does anything she doesn’t quite approve of. She’s not looking for another heartbreak and hasn’t fully dropped her guard, a wise move given their history.
A Love Story Full of Ups and Downs
Fox and Kelly’s romance has been anything but smooth. They first met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020. At that time, Fox was still married to Brian Austin Green, with whom she shares three sons: Noah, 12; Bodhi, 11; and Journey, 9.
Shortly after Green, 52, announced in May 2020 that he and Fox were divorcing after a decade of marriage, the Jennifer’s Body star began her relationship with Kelly. (For those keeping score, Green is now engaged to Sharna Burgess, and they have a two-year-old son named Zane).
The "Bloody Valentine" singer proposed to Fox in January 2022, but they never made it down the aisle. The couple faced many challenges in the years that followed, including a miscarriage in 2023. Their relationship seemed to get back on track in November 2024 when Fox announced she was expecting their first child together. (Kelly is also a father to 16-year-old Casie, from his previous relationship with Emma Cannon.)
Just weeks after the pregnancy news, the same entertainment publication confirmed that Fox and Kelly had quietly split after spending Thanksgiving as a couple. “They tried to make the relationship work again after the pregnancy, but they are both too temperamental and went back to their constant arguments,” a source had revealed in fall 2024. “They can’t agree, and it’s not easy for them to be together.”

Since Saga’s birth in March, Fox has mostly stayed out of the public eye. Kelly, on the other hand, appeared on The New York Times‘ “Popcast” in August. During that chat, he made it clear that “neither [he] nor Megan have said anything” publicly about their relationship status.
More recently, a source exclusively told the entertainment publication earlier this month that “things seem to have gone back to ‘normal’ between them.” This positive shift happened after the couple took Saga on a summer vacation. It looks like this family time might be just what they needed to write a new, happier chapter together.
