Mexican singer Peso Pluma joins forces with Grupo Frontera and releases the song

Mexican singer Peso Pluma, the world’s chart-topping artist, released a surprise song titled “Tulum” on Thursday in collaboration with Grupo Frontera.

In a statement issued by his representation, it was noted that the singer surprised his fans on this day by adding three additional tracks to his album “Génesis”, released on June 22.

“As leaders of the Mexican music movement, Peso Pluma and Grupo Frontera have come together to collaborate on this catchy summer anthem that premieres today along with the official music video,” the agency reported.

“Tulum,” written by Latin Grammy winner Edgar Barrera, Ríos and Featherweight, and produced by Barrera, “combines their collective iconic sounds with upbeat melodies and sweet lyrics while serenading a love interest.”

The video features Featherweight and the members of the Frontera Group Adelaido Solís, Julian Peña Jr., Alberto Acosta, Carlos Zamora, Carlos Guerrero and Juan Javier Cantú and was directed by Abel Baez.

Additional bonus tracks on Featherweight’s “Genesis” include the previously released singles “PRC” and “Las Morras” in conjunction with Blessd.

According to the agency, last Friday, one day after the release of the album, it was “the highest transmission of the Mexican music genre in the history of Apple Music” as the album broke the world record for highest first-day views for a Mexican music album in the firm’s history.

In addition, Grupo Frontera also broke the first-day streaming record to become the biggest Mexican music single in Apple Music history with “un x100to,” which they released alongside Bad Bunny.

Besides, both artists have held the number one spot on the Billboard Global 200, “Ella Baila Sola” remains at number one and “un x100to” remains at number nine on the list. Both artists also dominate the Spotify Global 50 with Featherweight occupying positions one and five and Grupo Frontera at number four.
