Mets stop Dodgers with 2 home runs by Alonso

Colin Holderman (3-0), the Mets’ No. 2 pitcher, got the win.

Mookie Betts drove in three for the Dodgers. The loss went to Buehler (6-2), who gave up five runs in 2 1/3 innings, the shortest outing of his career.

For the Mets, the Dominicans Starling Marte 5-2 with two runs scored and an RBI. Puerto Rican Francisco Lindor 5-1 with a run scored and two RBIs. The Venezuelan Luis Guillorme 4-1; Eduardo Escobar 4-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

For the Dodgers, Dominican Hanser Alberto 2-1 with a run scored.
