About Subway

Metro Servicios Turísticos was founded in 1969, with 100% Dominican capital. It has a fleet dedicated to intercity transport only of 40 58-passenger buses, Scania, Mercedes Benz and Volvo brands.

In its beginnings it had routes to the interior of the country, such as Santiago, Puerto Plata, San Francisco de Macorís and San Juan de la Maguana. At the same time, it operated urban routes 5, 5A and 5B within Santo Domingo.

Because urban routes returned a low margin, the company decided to focus on interurban routes in 1983, strengthening itself on routes to Santiago de los Caballeros, San Francisco de Macorís, La Vega, Moca and Puerto Plata.
