Messi Scores Twice as Inter Miami Advances in CONCACAF Champions League

The stage was set for a thrilling matchup as Inter Miami faced off against Los Angeles FC in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League. Leo Messi’s team trailed by a goal from the first leg, and things got even tougher when Aaron Long put LAFC ahead just 9 minutes in.

But Messi wasn’t about to let his team go down without a fight. He scored the equalizer at the 35-minute mark, just four minutes after having a goal disallowed.

The second half was more of the same, with Messi setting up Noah Allen for the go-ahead goal in the 61st minute.

Messi sealed the deal with a penalty kick in the 84th minute, beating Hugo Lloris one-on-one.

With this win, Inter Miami advances to the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions League. Former Casa Pia player Telasco Segovia started for the team.
