Lionel Messi arrived in Miami this Tuesday (USA) to start his MLS adventure with the Inter Miami jersey.
The Argentine star, as reflected in a video on ESPN, landed at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (Florida, USA) with his wife and three children.
It is expected that Messi, after signing his contract with Inter Miami, be presented at a great event this Sunday, July 16 at the DRV PNK Stadium starting at 8:00 p.m. local time.
“The event will feature entertainment, pitch speeches and more. More details will be announced closer to the event date,” Inter Miami said in a statement last week.
It is expected that the Spanish Sergio Busquets, who was a teammate of the Argentine star at Barcelona, will also be presented at this event.
Everything points to that Messi and Busquets’ debut with Inter Miami will be on July 21 in the Inter Miami match against the Mexican Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.
Argentine Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino, who has already coached Messi at Barcelona and the Albiceleste team, led his first session as Inter Miami coach on Monday.
Inter Miami urgently needs all the reinforcements they can get to get their season back on track, as he is bottom of the East (18 points after 21 games) and accumulated ten games without knowing victory (three draws and seven losses).
The team in pink will have a tough confrontation on the next day in the field of St. Louis City, which has made its debut this year in style in the MLS and which occupies the first position in the West.
