Meghan Markle is back in the kitchen, but not without some drama! While the Duchess of Sussex can handle eating lobster just fine, unlike her husband Prince Harry, she found preparing them to be a whole different story.
“You know who doesn’t like lobster? My husband,” Meghan, 44, told famous chef and humanitarian José Andrés. This funny moment happened in a clip from a new episode of her hit Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 2. Andrés, 56, shot back with a laugh, “No way! And you married him?” This made Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, chuckle.
The duo was in Meghan’s makeshift kitchen. They were busy making a lobster dish. The recipe called for the chef to prepare the live crustaceans. Meghan was not thrilled about this part, to say the least.
Chef Andrés was all business, telling the lobster, “Alright, lobster! Come here, baby.” Meghan quietly commented, “He called it baby,” as she watched. She visibly winced with each cut the chef made. Andrés explained, “You have to be careful. They call it a spiny lobster for a reason.” He showed how to cut the head in half. “We put it right here. We make the other cut on the other side. And there you have the lobster.”

“Well done,” Meghan managed to say. She then took a very needed sip of her wine. Andrés noticed her discomfort and asked, “Are you okay?” Meghan had to cover her eyes at moments. “I’m fine,” she replied, though it wasn’t very convincing. “I can do it. Look, if it’s fish, I can get involved.” She even had to stop talking as she tried to watch Andrés prepare another lobster. “Listen, at the end of the day…” Andrés started. “It’s the circle of life,” Meghan quickly added. “It’s the circle of life,” Andrés agreed.
This funny moment is just one of many in ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 2. All eight episodes premiered on Tuesday, August 26. The season brings a whole new lineup of celebrity guests. Meghan shows off her amazing hosting skills. Guests include Chrissy Teigen, Christina Tosi, David Chang, Tan France, and Heather Dorak.
Meghan had actually teased the new season back in March 2025. She posted a video on Instagram, saying, “Oh, how I love ASMR! If you loved Season 1, just wait to see the fun we cooked up for Season 2.” She also thanked her team, adding, “Endless thanks to the amazing team and staff who helped bring it all to life.”
Before the season launched, Meghan spoke with People magazine. She talked about returning to lifestyle projects now that she’s a mother of two. “When your kids reach a certain age, you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them,” she shared. She was referring to her son Archie and daughter Lilibet, whom she shares with Prince Harry. “You almost get to play in your own sandbox again. It’s immense joy.” She called it a “wonderful feeling” to reconnect with herself. She felt this part of her was always there, but she couldn’t focus on it as much before. Now her children are a bit older, and she can.
So, if you want to see Meghan’s hilarious lobster struggles and more, ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 2 is ready for you to watch on Netflix.
