Meghan Markle recently took to social media, giving fans a sweet peek into her family life. She marked International Day of the Girl by sharing rare photos of her daughter, Princess Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex posted a heartfelt message on Instagram for her 4-year-old on Saturday, October 11th. Meghan, who is 44, wrote: “To all girls, this world is yours.” She urged everyone to “do everything possible to protect your rights, raise your voice, support each other.” She promised, “We will do the same for you. It is your right and our responsibility.” Her post ended with an encouraging shout-out: “Go get ’em, girl! 🏃♀️ Happy International Day of the Girl.”
Fans got a rare look at Lili. Meghan shared several pictures of her little one with husband Prince Harry. The couple also has a 6-year-old son, Prince Archie. In one touching photo, Meghan held Lili’s hand by a peaceful stream. Meghan wore a white button-up shirt and matching pants. Lili looked adorable in a pale pink outfit, complete with a matching bag. Her red hair, just like her dad Harry’s, was tied up in a messy ponytail. Another post showed Lili running freely in the family’s backyard. Meghan later shared these photos again on her Instagram story, simply writing, “Happy International Day of the Girl.”

Lili arrived in June 2021. Since then, Meghan has often shared her joy about raising a daughter. On Lili’s most recent birthday in June, Meghan posted on Instagram. “Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!” she wrote. “Four years ago today she came into our lives, and every day is brighter and better because of it.” She thanked everyone for their birthday wishes. In a funny throwback post, Meghan shared how she tried to kickstart labor for Lili. Both her kids, Archie and Lili, came a week past their due dates. “Spicy food, all those walks, and acupuncture didn’t work,” she explained. So, she turned to the now-famous “Baby Mama Dance.” “Only one thing left to do! 😂” she joked, alongside hospital pictures. However, Meghan has also been open about the tough parts of her journey to motherhood. Before Lili, she sadly went through a miscarriage. In a December 2022 episode of her and Harry’s Netflix show, she spoke about this painful time.
“When I reveal moments of vulnerability related to a miscarriage and perhaps having felt ashamed by that,” she shared, “I think: ‘Okay, you’re human. It’s okay to talk about it.'” She explained her choice to speak out. “I could choose to never talk about those things,” Meghan said. “Or I could decide to say: ‘With all the bad that comes with this, the good is being able to help other people.'” She believes that “connection and community” are what life is all about.
The former ‘Suits’ star stands by sharing these personal videos. She sees it as living life in a real way. She told Emma Grede on the “Aspire” podcast in late June, “You have to be authentic.” Meghan added, it’s “a great reminder that, with all the noise or what people do, there’s still a whole life—a real, authentic, and fun life—happening behind the scenes.” She’s happy to be back on social media since January. It gives her “a space where I can share it on my own terms.” She had closed her accounts years ago after marrying Harry.
