Meet with Paralympic badminton athletes

With the participation of 43 athletes from five provinces of the country, the Dominican Badminton Federation held the 1st National Mass Meeting for people with Disabilities "Parabadminton 2022" In this city.
The event, organized by the National Parabadminton Commission, brought together representatives of La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, Espailliat, San Juan de la Maguana, the National District and La Romana, as host.
On behalf of the organizing committee, Generoso Castillo (President), Alberto Almanzar (Technical Coordinator), Orlando Santana (Administrative Coordinator) and Santos Rijo (Logistics Coordinator) were present.
The activity was attended by engineer Nelson Guell (MIDEREC Provincial Director) and Dr. Ana Gómez (representative of the La Romana Badminton Association).
Professors Porfirio Guerrero from Hato Mayor and Jeremias Castillo, from San Cristóbal, also participated in the event.
The meeting, which seeks the inclusion of people with physical and motor conditions, is part of the preparations for the participation of a local delegation in the 1st Caribbean Parabadminton Congress to be held from April 24 to 29, in Barbados.
The delegation that will travel to Barbados in April is made up of athletes Oscar Morales, Escarlin Valerio, Emeli Dicoudray and Kendry Paulino. Together with them, the technicians Generoso Castillo and Alberto Almazar.
