I still recall the day I stumbled upon a strange survival roguelite that caught my attention – Extremely Powerful Capybaras. This game is as unique as it sounds, featuring capibaras as the main characters. It’s a Bullet Hell experience where you’ll face hordes of enemies, and the outcome is either death or victory. You can play it solo or with friends, which adds to the excitement.
The gameplay is reminiscent of Vampire Survivor, where you choose from different capybara characters, each with their own set of skills. You can select from a range of characters, including a lancer, a mango, a musician, or even a ninja. This variety allows you to develop different strategies, keeping the game fresh and engaging.

The game’s mechanics are straightforward: you’ll navigate through levels, unlocking skills and building your capybara’s abilities as you progress. However, the twist is that the skill tree is random, so each game is distinct from the previous one. You can collect coins to upgrade permanent skills, but the final build is always unpredictable.
As you level up, you’ll unlock new skills and have to choose which ones to add to your capybara’s arsenal. It may seem simple at first, but trust me, the game has a depth to it that’ll keep you coming back for more. I wouldn’t say it’s the best roguelite out there, but it’s definitely become my go-to choice over the past few days, even surpassing Hades and Vampire Survivors in my book.
The game is relatively affordable, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, casual experience – especially if you have a friend to play with. Playing with a friend is when the game truly shines, as it can get a bit repetitive when playing solo. Nonetheless, I’ve had a blast playing Extremely Powerful Capybaras, and I’ve created some fantastic memories with it.
