Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football star, joined forces with Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, about a year ago. The multi-year deal aims to bring global football fans to the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and Web3. The collaboration kicked off at the end of last year with the first NFT collection and now the second collection is live, allowing fans to meet Ronaldo in the flesh
Ronaldo NFTs
Last week Binance announced the second collection called ‘Forever CR7: The GOAT’. The collection includes numerous digital collectibles representing some of his most memorable goals of his career.
The collectibles are divided into four different rarity levels. There are 28,000 ‘regular’ NFTs that can be purchased for 10 USDT. In addition, there are 1,200 ‘rare’ and 120 ‘super rare’ NFTs in circulation. These can both be done via the subscription mechanism are purchased to ensure that all interested parties have an equal opportunity to obtain a unique item. A rare item will cost you 10 USDT and a super rare will cost 200 USDT.
Last of all, the 6 most phenomenal goals are categorized as the ‘super super rare’ NFTs. These will be sold via auction on Binance with a starting price of a whopping 15,000 USDT.
The timing of the latest NFT collection is in any case a lot better than the very first edition. It was released just a week after FTX’s catastrophic demise. Obviously no one saw the demise coming, but crypto investors weren’t exactly lining up for the Ronaldo NFTs at the time.
Binance offers unique advantages
As well as giving you the chance to own one of Ronaldo’s most cherished goals, the NFTs also bring some very exclusive perks. You can win personally signed merchandise and even kick a ball with the legendary soccer star herself.
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said on Twitter know that owners of the rarest NFTs will have the unique opportunity to personally meet and train with Ronaldo. He also assured that the fair will cover the costs of flights and accommodation.
