MediaMarkt and Cash Converters create ‘Second Life’

MediaMarkt Y Cash Converters have decided to unite with the aim of giving a second life to the products. They will carry this out thanks to the implementation of their plan called “Second Life”.

Both companies have claimed that the alliance helps them reinforce the commitment to sustainability and conscious consumption. ‘Second Life’ makes it possible to get closer to the consumer and, above all, to give a new life to products technological.

What is ‘Second Life’ about?

“Second Life By Cash Converters” allows users to sell your used items and sell them to other people who need them. Sellers will receive in return a gift card that they can redeem whenever they need it at any MediaMarkt store.

San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid) is the first place to host this establishment, although the companies plan to open these premises in more places, as is the case in Plaza del Carmen (Madrid), Palma de Mallorca, Zaragoza and Finisterre (Barcelona). Although, if they get good results, as expected, they will not hesitate to continue expanding to more places.

“This alizana is part of the company’s commitment to leave a positive legacy both in society and in the environment. Thanks to the initiative, we managed to take another step forward in our goal of contributing to the circular economy model, giving technology a second chance in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way”.

Alberto Ávarez Ayuso, CEO of MediaMarkt Iberia.
