Media Markt has suffered a very serious ransomware attack which has caused the activity of its eCommerce to come to a standstill in much of Europe (Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain). Added to the problem of being attacked are the dates in which we are, since all eCommerce are in full preparation for the next few weeks, which will be when the Christmas shopping and the expected Black Friday really begin.
The cyberattack that Media Markt has suffered has caused them to be affected 3,100 servers (with Windows installed). This has triggered a lot of problems in their services.
According to published information, it is known that cybercriminals requested $ 240 million in cryptocurrencies. A truly high figure that is unknown if the company in the electronic sector would be willing to pay, because if it does not do so, it could see how some data of its business is revealed.
The news has been released through twitter where some information about the event and numerous complaints have been published by some users who have tried to use the platform and have failed in the attempt.

@MediaMarkt_es This morning in Vigo I tried to make a return and I could not because they told me that your computer system is blocked by a cyber attack. Have you solved it? Do you offer another solution? It urges me. Thanks

Will this be the only eCommerce that is affected this year in the BF by a cyberattack?
