He media director of the Presidency, Federico Reynoso, assured that the Government of President Luis Abinader invests more RD$669,742 million in 965 works of which RD$61,000 million and 109 works correspond to the province of Santiago.
Reynoso, when initiating a series of conferences in the municipality of Navarretewhich will extend throughout the national territory, said that most of these works will be inaugurated by the president in the course of this year.
In his appearance at the Navarrete City Hall and before dozens of people, Reynoso pondered the will of the President to meet the needs of each of the towns that make up the province.
Reynoso explained that the 109 works are distributed in eight lines among which transportation and road development, water and environmental sanitation, health, housing and rescue of cultural heritage stand out.
He added that among these works the monorail and the Cableway where the Government invests close to RD$40,000 million to bring solutions to transportation problems.
He stressed that the monorail It will benefit 500,000 people with a transport capacity of 200,000 passengers per day. While the cable car will be able to transport 72,000 people every day and its service will allow connecting with other services at no greater cost to the passenger.

Other important works being built in Santiago are the Sanitation of the Gurabo Stream, the housing projects of La Barranquita, Hato del Yaque and Los Saladosas well as the expansion of the Duarte Highway and the San José de Las Matas hospital.
As for Navarrete, he said that the aqueduct will supply the homes of that municipality, it is very advanced and work is being done on the second stage.
In the same way, he recalled that the Circunvalación avenue of that municipality is tendered and ready to start, which will allow to overcome the road chaos prevailing in the center of Navarrete.
