It seems the legal spotlight is still shining bright on the case involving the firing outside superstar Salman Khan’s home. A special court recently decided not to grant bail to an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This decision was made on Monday, keeping the accused behind bars.
According to reports from PTI, Justice Mahesh Jadhav of the MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) Court turned down the bail request for Mohammed Rafique Sardar Chaudhary. Just to recap, this whole incident stems from an alarming event on the morning of April 14, 2024. Two people on a motorbike, identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, allegedly fired shots outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Bandra West.
Who’s Behind Bars?
Police say that Mohammed Rafique Sardar Chaudhary played a key role. He reportedly scouted Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment just two days before the shooting. He even made a video of the area and sent it to Anmol Bishnoi, who is also accused in the same case. Right now, several individuals are in judicial custody. This list includes Vicky Gupta, Sagar Pal, Sonu Kumar Bishnoi, Mohammed Rafique Chaudhary, and Harpal Singh.
A Tragic Turn in Custody
In a sad development, one of the accused, Anuj Kumar Thapan, tragically took his own life while in police custody. The chargesheet filed by the police in this ongoing investigation names Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi as wanted individuals. It looks like the authorities are still working hard to bring everyone involved to justice.
