McLaren has unveiled its 2025 car, the MCL39, ahead of schedule, showcasing the vehicle during a ‘Filming Day’ at Silverstone, where the team’s two starting pilots were present. The English team did not wait for the joint presentation of all F1 teams, instead opting for an early reveal of their new car.
Camouflage
The MCL39 features a camouflage design, suggesting that the final colors of the vehicle have not yet been revealed. However, the car retains the distinctive papaya orange tone, combined with black, which has become synonymous with the McLaren brand. The team’s performance towards the end of the previous season suggests that they will be a strong contender for the title in 2025.
Ambitions
Zak Brown, McLaren’s CEO, expressed his ambitions for the team’s 2025 season. “This is a great milestone in our path to fighting for the 2025 title. It’s great to put our championship candidate, the MCL39, on track for the first time and implement the culmination of the team’s hard work. We must be realistic and think that all teams will have progressed during the winter. Last year showed how much the grid has closed, which is something brilliant for the sport. We believe we have advanced more from the MCL38, which won the championship, but we won’t know where we are in the classification until we reach the qualifying session in Australia,” he said.
