Mbappé has a tear and misses the first leg against Bayern Munich

The French Kylian Mbappé, scorer of Paris Saint Germain, suffered a thigh injury in his left leg and is ruled out for the first leg of the round of 16 of the European Champions League against Bayern Munich.

“After undergoing medical tests, it was found that Kylian Mbappé suffered an injury to his left thigh at the height of the femoral biceps. He is expected to be out of action for three weeks,” says the statement issued by PSG and confirming the tear that the striker suffered.

The PSG star was replaced 21 minutes into the first half in the match that his team beat Montpellier 3-1 due to a soreness in the thigh of his left leg that leaves him sidelined for the duel on February 14 in the Park of the Princes. Mbappé, who had missed a penalty a few minutes before, tried a run to get into the rival area, when he felt the discomfort and was lying on the grass.

With the diagnosis already confirmed, Mbappé will miss the first leg against the Germans and could only play again on Sunday, February 26, when PSG visit Marseille in the French classic, their current escort in Ligue 1. We will have to see if the star is risky in that match or if he is expected directly for the rematch of the Champions League against Bayern on March 8 in Munich.
