Mayor of Santo Domingo Norte says he will demolish illegal buildings

The mayor of Santo Domingo Norte (SDN), Carlos Guzmán, stated that It will not accept illegal constructions in the municipality and warned that buildings and other works that do not have the proper permits will be demolished.

Carlos Guzman guaranteed that in the municipal management that directs the protection of public spaces is sacred, by holding that will not tolerate illegal acts being committed in the demarcation aimed at building houses in green areas, in clear violation of the law.

He stated that the Mayor’s Office applies the law on equal terms to all citizens who commit acts of illegality, pointing out that it does not have a “sacred cow” and that it will not protect mobsters.

Guzmán assured that Anyone who builds without having the proper land use permits will receive the full weight of the law, regardless of whether they are councilors or officials of the council.

“He who makes a mistake here leaves,” said the mayor of SDN, at a time when operations to demolish buildings that did not have the proper construction permits located in La Javilla, El Higüero, Hermanas Mirabal avenue in Villa Mella and Jacobo Majluta Avenue.

Those responsible for Public Spaces, Urban Planning and Legal, with the support of municipal police from the Mayor’s Office of Santo Domingo Norte, will carry out said works, which seek to comply with the law.
