The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Mini Auction will be held in Kochi on December 23. A total of 405 players will participate in this auction and 87 of them will get IPL contracts. Two veteran Indian batsmen, Mayank Agarwal and Manish Pandey, will also be up for grabs, but prior to that, their performance has been disappointing. Mayank and Manish failed while playing for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy opener and now it may have an effect on the auction.
While captaining Karnataka, Mayank started the innings well and reached two limits. However, after this he returned to the pavilion, handing the catch to the keeper. Like Mayank, Manish also looked good during his 10-run innings, but couldn’t extend his innings. Gurudev Pathania got the wickets of both batsmen. Mayank was the captain of Punjab Kings last season but prior to this season, Punjab have released him in addition to removing him from the captaincy. Manish was also part of Lucknow Super Giants last season but due to poor performance from him, Lucknow has released him before next season.
