Max Verstappen has acquired a new plane to aid in his frequent travels around the world, particularly with the upcoming Formula 1 season featuring 24 grand prix events. In addition to these events, Verstappen’s schedule includes tests, commercial events, and visits to the factory, making a reliable and efficient mode of transportation essential.
The Dutch driver’s current private plane, a Falcon 900ex, which he purchased for around 12 million euros, has an autonomy of 8,000 kilometers. However, with his new schedule, Verstappen needs a plane that can accommodate more people and travel longer distances without stopping to refuel. The Falcon 900ex has been his primary mode of transportation for the past three years, but it appears that he has outgrown its capabilities.
The Old Plane
The Falcon 900ex, like the one Verstappen currently owns, is a high-end private jet. There were rumors that Verstappen’s plane was equipped with a simulator, which he used to practice during flights. However, Verstappen denied these claims, stating that he has a simulator at his home in Monaco. On occasion, he would even give pilots, such as Lando Norris, a ride on his plane. Nevertheless, after their disagreement in Austria in 2024, Norris no longer travels with Verstappen.

Without Simulator and Without Lando Norris
Verstappen’s new plane is a significant upgrade from his current one. The new Falcon 8x costs approximately 40.6 million euros, nearly four times the price of the Falcon 900ex. This expense should not be a significant burden for Verstappen, considering his estimated salary for 2025 is around 65 million euros, making him the highest-paid driver on the grid.
The New Jet
The Falcon 8x is a luxury jet that features a built-in shower, kitchen, and can accommodate up to 18 people. Its autonomy of 12,000 kilometers allows it to travel from Paris to Beijing without stopping to refuel. This new plane will provide Verstappen with the comfort and efficiency he needs to perform at his best during the upcoming season. With his new mode of transportation, Verstappen will be able to focus on his racing career, knowing that he has a reliable and comfortable way to travel to and from events.
