Maulana Slams Salman Khan for Wearing Ram Mandir Watch

Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Sikandar. Recently, the actor shared stunning pictures of himself wearing a luxurious watch featuring Lord Ram, Hanuman, and other deities. The watch, designed by Jacob & Co., has sparked controversy, with some criticizing Khan for promoting a non-Muslim symbol.

All India Muslim Jamaat President Maulana Shahabuddin stated that Khan’s actions are wrong, citing Islamic law. He emphasized that Muslims are not allowed to promote non-Muslim religious symbols, buildings, or temples, and doing so is considered a sin.

Shahabuddin released a video explaining his stance, saying, “As a Muslim, Salman Khan should not wear a watch that promotes a non-Muslim symbol.” He urged Khan to remove the watch, stating that doing so would be a sin.

Noted critic KRK also weighed in, tweeting that Khan’s actions are an insult to Muslims. He wrote, “All Muslims who want to watch Salman Khan’s film Sikandar on Eid should know that he is wearing a Zionist company’s watch, Ram Janmabhoomi version, and making fun of all Muslims!” KRK also called out Khan’s Muslim fans, saying they are “shameless” for supporting him.

Meanwhile, Sikandar has been cleared by the CBFC with a UA 13+ rating and a runtime of 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 46 seconds. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the action-drama film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Satyraj, Prateik, and Kajal Aggarwal. It is set to release in theaters on March 30.
