Matthew Stafford ruled out to face Chiefs

Sean McVay, head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, announced that Matthew Stafford has been ruled out for the match of the week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs ‘Cause it’s in the concussion protocol.

The quarterback has not been diagnosed with a concussion, but with a neck injury. According to the head coach, Stafford declared at the end of the game against the New Orleans Saints that he felt numb in his legs. The good news for the QB is that he no longer has that feeling.

Injuries have been a constant in the 2022 season for Matthew Stafford. The QB missed the Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals because he was also in the concussion protocol.

Who will be the owner?

With Stafford’s absence, Rams have quarterbacks John Wolford and Perkins on roster of 53. Everything indicates that Perkins will be the starter because Wolford also has neck discomfort.

Bryce will have the biggest workload today and we’ll see how John progresses during the week,” McVay said at the same press conference.

Perkins has been a part of the Rams’ practice squad since 2020, but just this year he saw activity in an NFL regular-season game. In total, he accumulates 61 yards after completing 6 of 11 throws. Additionally, he was sacked three times for a 26-yard loss. Perkins’ main contribution will be in the run game as he has 43 yards on eight rushes.
