Martial Ready for Monterrey Debut Sunday vs Club América – Coach’s Decision Looms

Once, Anthony Martial lit up the football pitches, especially during his time with Monaco and Manchester United. He was seen as a star player, known for his dazzling moves. Now, at 29 years old, the French forward is embarking on a new challenge. He is almost ready to play for Mexican club Monterrey, where he shares a locker room with Sergio Ramos.

Martial arrived at the club on September 12. He came from AEK Athens in a transfer deal worth 1 million euros. From his first day in Mexico, Martial made it clear he was eager to play. He stated he was ready to step onto the field as soon as needed.

His debut for Monterrey is expected this Sunday. The team will face Club América in the 9th round of the Liga MX Apertura. This news comes from Ricardo Olivares, a journalist with Récord México. Olivares shared his thoughts on Martial’s readiness.

“He has been training hard with the team,” Olivares noted. “He shows he is in top physical shape. It really seems he is more than prepared for his first game with the club. He came in good condition.” However, Olivares added, “Now, the final decision belongs to coach Domènec Torrent. It is completely up to him.”

Olivares also mentioned the player’s initial declaration. “Martial said he was ready the moment he landed at the airport.” But the journalist also pointed out a slight challenge. “Truth be told, his adjustment to life in Monterrey is still quite new. He is still finding his way around. Everything truly rests on the coach’s choice.”
