Marta Martín Clinches Maiden WIN on LET Debuts

Spanish golfer Martha Martin has secured a thrilling win at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, completing a spectacular performance with a last-round 63 (-9) to finish four strokes ahead of Englishwoman Rosie Davies. This victory marks Martin’s first triumph on the Ladies European Tour.

The 2024 Pro Spain Team member entered the final day tied for second place after shooting 69 and 67 in the first two rounds at Royal Beroun Golf Club. However, a stunning streak of seven consecutive birdies from holes 5 to 11 catapulted her to victory.

This impressive display came after Martin struggled to make birdies in her previous tournaments, often hitting only one or two per round. In fact, she had never been in this dominant form, crediting her hard preparation and ability to manage her emotions.

Interestingly, Martin won the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge, a LET Access Series event, in the Czech Republic last year. This year, she placed third at the NSW Women’s Open in Australia, her best finish in the LET so far.

Rosie Davies, who also shot a 63, was unable to capitalize on Martin’s mistake. Nuria Iturrioz impressed with an outstanding 66.
