Marta García signs the pole in the rainy Singapore

The Spanish Marta García (Cortdao Racing) will start from pole this Sunday in the seventh race of the W Series, the main women’s motorsport championship, that of Singapore, which will be held at the Marina Bay circuit, where this Saturday she set the best time in qualifying, marked by rain and interrupted twice -with a red flag- before being definitively suspended with five minutes to go.

In her best lap, Marta García, a native of Denia (Alicante), covered the 5,063 meters of the Singaporean track in two minutes, 30 seconds and 762 thousandths, 87 less than the Dutch Beitske Visser (Sirin Racing), who will start alongside her from the front row.

Another Spanish, the Barcelona Belén García (Quantfury W Series Team) -who was one second and three tenths behind her compatriot-, will do so from the second row, in fourth position on the grid; and next to the British Alice Powell (Click2Drive Bristol Street Motors), who set the third time of the main time, at 649 thousandths.
