Marta Caballero Brings Disney Magic to Madrid and Barcelona Stages

This Thursday, February 6, 2025, is a special day for Marta Caballero. She is one of the 50 artists who will perform in the show ‘Disney on Ice: Mickey and his friends’ that will take place until Sunday in the Movistar Arena of Madrid and from 15 to 18 of this month in the Palau Sant Jordi from Barcelona with seven functions in each city. As a child, Marta was a big fan of Disney and its princesses, having watched all the classic movies. Her favorite characters were Jasmín from Aladdín, Ariel from La Sirenita, and the Lion King. Being part of a show like this is a dream come true for her.

Marta started skating at the age of seven as an extracurricular activity, but soon became serious about it and started competing individually until she was 18 years old. She then switched to synchronized skating and competed until 2022, participating in four world championships with the national team. In Spain, there are limited opportunities for skaters due to the scarcity of ice rinks, but Marta is proud to be part of a growing and spectacular world. Her role models in the skating world include Javier Fernández, Felipe Montoya, and Sonia Lafuente.

After feeling the need to stop competing, Marta wanted to continue skating because it is her passion. She had always done it for fun and enjoyment. One day, a friend told her about the possibility of joining the ‘Disney on Ice’ show, and she sent in her application with some skating videos. She was accepted and has been part of the Feld Entertainment team since 2022, performing in tours across the United States, South America, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and Europe.

Marta has been with ‘Disney on Ice’ for three years and feels very comfortable and happy. She does not miss competing because she is doing what she loves, and she enjoys seeing the audience’s reaction to the show. She is excited to perform in front of her family, friends, and people from her hometown, although she admits to being a bit nervous. In the Madrid function, Marta will be embodying the character of Ariel from the Little Mermaid.

Marta believes that one of the best things about her job is creating memories for the spectators and inspiring children to take up skating. She hopes that she and the other performers can be role models for young people who enjoy the show and want to pursue a career in skating. Although she is currently fully focused on skating, Marta has a degree in Industrial Design Engineering and a master’s in architectural visualization, which she practiced for a year before putting it on hold. However, she says that she cannot imagine leaving skating behind, as it is her ideal world.
