Marc Marquez’s New Chapter
Marc Marquez has officially confirmed the end of his long-standing partnership with Red Bull, a relationship that has been a cornerstone of his MotoGP career. The Spanish rider, who recently joined the Ducati team, has decided not to pursue a personal sponsorship deal with Monster, Red Bull’s rival firm, out of respect for his former sponsors.
Marquez’s decision marks a significant change in his career, as he embarks on a new chapter with Ducati. The Italian team has an existing agreement with Monster, which has led to Marquez’s teammate, Pecco Bagnaia, partnering with the energy drink company.
In a recent interview with Servus TV, Marquez expressed his gratitude to the Red Bull family and acknowledged the importance of their support throughout his career. He also emphasized his desire to maintain a positive relationship with his former sponsors, despite their parting ways.
A New Era of Competition
As Marquez prepares for the upcoming season, he is aware of the pressure that comes with joining a new team. “I came to the world champion team. I already feel the pressure, but this is what I wanted,” he said. Marquez’s decision to leave Honda and join Ducati was motivated by his desire for a change and a new challenge.
A Strong Teammate
Marquez was accompanied by Max Verstappen, with whom he has a good relationship. When asked about his teammate, Marquez said, “What if I would have someone like myself as a partner? Of course not. At the same time, you want someone strong at your side, but not a second Marc.” Marquez believes that having a strong teammate is essential, but also acknowledges the importance of maintaining a healthy rivalry.
