Marquez: "I only enjoy a couple of laps and some corners"

Marc Márquez It is back in Misano, to face the San Marino GP, where in principle it does not look as strong as it was in Aragon, a scene in which it attacked Bagnaia up to seven times in the final three laps, having to settle for second place . Here his still weakened arm should take him to somewhat more delayed positions, but it is Márquez and everything can be expected from him …

-Do you think you can get a good result in Misano?

-Aragón was a great weekend and we were able to return to the podium, which has given us additional motivation to continue progressing, but it is true that here, in Misano, we will return to our real situation, which is not far from the leading drivers , but it’s still a bit far. I still don’t drive the way I want to and I’m sure in FP1 I will understand perfectly where I am and what I can achieve this weekend. The goal is to be close to the leading drivers.

-Will the tests on Tuesday and Wednesday help?

-In the tests on Tuesday and Wednesday we are going to introduce new parts for next season, but it is a motorcycle prototype that will always be in constant evolution and we have to continue working on the bike and on my skills and performance. If we improve a little in both directions, we will be able to fight for the championship, but if we have difficulties in any of these aspects we will have difficulties.

-Is this the time you’re having fun or are you still having trouble?

-Now I’m competing and I’m trying to do my best, but I’m not enjoying it. At the moment I only enjoy a couple of laps and in some corners, but when you feel pain you do not enjoy. I enjoy at times, but it cannot be said that it is fully yet.

-In Aragon he said that he had to see what would have to be done with the shoulder. Was he referring to another surgery or the way of training?

-No. The plan is to understand how it can be improved for the next races and until Austin we will have two weeks and we will try to work at home to take a step forward. Now I have two races in a row and I would have to rest for three days, because otherwise it hurts, and then you have to train for two more days and you have to go flying to another circuit. That is not the way I worked in the past, because now I have a specific plan outlined, but for the moment we are going to try to work. The plan is to work to try to improve little things, but the plan A is to work on myself.
