Marko Grujic is moving on. The Serbian international, who just sealed a deal with AEK on Tuesday, had to say his goodbyes to FC Porto. He spent five years with the club, a journey that brought him eight titles. Now, a new chapter begins for the midfielder.
Grujic shared his feelings on social media, writing a heartfelt message in Portuguese. He called his time “an adventure of a thousand great memories.” Yet, it wasn’t always smooth sailing. He spoke about a “complicated moment” and a “serious injury” last season. That injury made things very tough for him.

Grujic promised he always gave his all. He fought with the “grit that represents FC Porto,” he explained. Now, he sees himself as a devoted follower. “Now I’m just another fan,” he declared, showing his lasting loyalty. He didn’t forget the supporters, often called FC Porto’s “12th player.”
“Our fans have been special to me since day one,” Grujic added. He wished them a successful new season. “Now we all have to support the Pride of the North,” he urged.
