Team India will play a test match against England in Rajkot. India batted first after winning the toss in the third game of the series. He scored 93 runs after losing three wickets in the first session of the day. Captain Rohit Sharma scored a half-century. Rohit narrowly escaped injury in the first practice session of the day. He may have been injured by Mark Wood’s bouncer. But the helmet saved him. Wood threw a very dangerous bouncer.
In fact, Mark Wood bowled the 10th over for England during the Indian innings. On the second ball of that over, he bowled a bouncer. The ball fell on the pitch and then landed straight into the grille of Rohit’s helmet. Rohit stood for some time after the ball hit the helmet. Seeing this, Team India’s physiotherapist immediately went to the field. However, after some time the game started again. What is important is that Rohit was not seriously injured. They narrowly escaped.
Rohit had hit two fours in Mark Wood’s over at the start of the innings. He hit fours in the second and fourth overs of the innings. However, this didn’t make much of a difference for Wood. He dealt Team India two big blows. Wood fired Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill.
It is noteworthy that at the time of writing, Team India had scored 111 runs in the first innings with the loss of three wickets in 32 overs. Rohit Sharma had scored 53 runs and Ravindra Jadeja had scored 39 runs. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was eliminated after scoring just 10 runs. Shubman Gill couldn’t even open an account. Rajat Patidar was eliminated after scoring 5 runs.
These are some of cricket’s rare moments. Rohit Sharma leaves the bouncers and doesn’t play his favorite pull shot. This shows how much pressure and stress he is under due to the fact that he has such young, inexperienced players who are currently not performing to the required standards.
