The Dominican Marileidy Paulino scored the victory this Friday in the 400-meter dash in the first race corresponding to the World Athletics Diamond League and which was held at the Khalifa stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Paulino clocked 51.20 seconds to beat Jamaica’s Stephanie-Ann McPherson, who had a time of 51.69, and Shaunae Miller-Uibo, of the Bahamas, with a time of 51.84.

Miller-Uibo is the double champion of the Olympic Games, including the Tokyo 2020 where the Creole finished with the silver medal.

Last year, in his first participation in the Diamond League, Paulino won the Lausanne and Paris competitions and finished a close second in the Zurich final.
