Mariana Ávila Grieves Slain Fede Dorcaz, Declares: “You Were So Much”

The assassination of Argentinian artist Fede Dorcaz on October 9 not only stunned the entertainment world but also severed a blossoming relationship. Venezuelan influencer Mariana Ávila, Dorcaz’s partner, has since spoken out repeatedly on social media, lavishing praise on him.

Ávila, 30, described Dorcaz as multi-talented and excellent in every endeavor. “You were good at everything, you were a soccer player and you were excellent, you were a model and you were excellent, you were a singer and you were excellent,” she wrote.

She added, “In all sports you were extremely good, you tried acting and you were excellent, the same with dancing. You were so much.”

Avila also lauded his striking presence and charisma. “I never knew a man with such an aura,” she stated, noting that “everyone turned to look at him” and “bathed him in compliments.”

She continued, “Your light was radiant, so much confidence, so much charm, so much beauty. Your scent, your strength, your smile, your elegance.”

Ávila was among the first to learn of the tragedy. After trying to contact Dorcaz for over two hours, police answered his phone and informed her of his death.

She publicly declared, “You will always be my favorite person in the whole world, I love you, I love you, I love you and I will love you forever.”

Otto Rojas, Dorcaz’s publicist, later confirmed Ávila’s devastation. He recounted attending the forensic medical examination with a friend of Ávila’s to identify the body.

Rojas told Univision’s ‘Siéntese Quien Pueda’ program that Ávila “was devastated.”

While Rojas’s statements aligned with Ávila’s account that they were leaving Televisa and speaking by phone on the night of the assassination, Ávila clarified the nature of Dorcaz’s death.

She asserted that Dorcaz died during an assault. “What happened to him was a mugging at the hands of criminals, NOTHING MORE,” she wrote.

Ávila explained that the assailants “didn’t take things because everything got out of hand and they had to flee.” She urged people not to tarnish his image, calling him “an angel” who “always worked only with his hard-earned money.”

She also dismissed rumors about his character or companions. “My Fede was driving alone to his house after we were together,” Ávila clarified.

She stated, “We were talking on the phone and he called his friends to tell them how well he was doing. Never in his life was he involved in anything illicit. JUSTICE, NOT LIES.”

Ávila appealed for accurate reporting. She urged, “Do not deviate the information to remove responsibility for what happened.”

The influencer attended Dorcaz’s funeral in Mexico City, alongside his parents, María Eugenia Trungelliti and Walter Dorcaz. His body was subsequently repatriated to Argentina.

Ávila further expressed her deep affection, stating, “Fede’s only purpose was to give love to everyone, wherever he went he was light.”

She characterized him as having “overwhelming charisma.” She added, “He was a good son, a good boyfriend, he was my best friend, my companion, he was the love of my life.”

The couple had formally begun their relationship in January 2024.

Ávila also shared a poignant detail about an unfulfilled gift. “A few months ago I had bought some necklaces with your initial and I was waiting for this weekend to surprise you by wearing them,” she wrote.

Dorcaz and Ávila were slated to participate as a dance couple in the program ‘Las Estrellas Bailan Hoy’. Andrea Rodríguez, producer of the morning show ‘Hoy’, confirmed Ávila’s withdrawal from the competition following the tragedy.
