María Corbera, fourth in C1 500; Juan Valle, bronze in paracanoe

The Spanish team formed by Juan Moreno, Pablo Martínez, Cayetano García and Adrián Siero finished fourth in the C4 500 final of the Copenhagen Sprint Canoeing World Championships, where María Corbera was also fourth in C1 500 for women and Juan Valle was bronze in KL3 200 for paracanoe.

Moreno, Martínez, García and Siero set a time of 1.32.02 in the final played in the morning session this Saturday, in which the victory went to the Ukraine team (1.31.20), which also took gold in the K4 5000 (1.20.19) with the Spanish Enrique Adán, Carlos Garrote, Juan Oriyes and Cristián Toro in seventh place (1.21.19). María Corbera was one step away from the podium with her fourth place in the women’s C1 500 (2.06.17), in which the victory went to the Chilean Maria Mailliard (2.0.509).

In the other finals with Spanish representation, Noel Domínguez and Manuel Fontán were eighth in the C2 1000 (4.10.90), the same as Antia Otero and Antia Jacome in C2 500 (2.01.19). In the first distance the Moldovans Shamshurin and Chebotar prevailed with a time of 3.32.83 and in the second the Ukrainian Luzan and Chetverkova with a time of 1.55.85.

In the B finals, Rai Rodríguez was the best in K 1000 (3.35.31), David Barrerio seventh in C1 1000 (4.02.70) and Sara Ouzande and Carolina García finished eighth in K2 500 (1.48.51). In paracanoe Juan Valle was bronze in KL3 200 with a time of 41.04, behind the Ukrainian Serhii Yemelianov (39.54) and the British Robert Oliver (40.68), and Inés Felipe seventh in KL 200 (1.00.67), a distance that the British won Charlotte Henshaw (48.73).
