Marcos André’s operation confirms his goodbye to the course

Marcos André has already gone through the operating room. The striker underwent “successful” surgery last Saturday in Madrid, according to the player’s entourage, from a tear of the external meniscus of his right knee. The Valencia striker, as expected, will have to be out for eight weeks, so he says goodbye to the season. Rubén Baraja will have to face the remainder of the course with Hugo Duro and Cavani as pure ‘nine’.

Marcos André was intervened by the doctors Mikel Aramberri and Giovanni Tiso, doctors from Alai Sports Medicine Clinic, Madrid. The intervention lasted about an hour and the doctors confirmed that “the surgery had been a success”, in addition to the eight weeks off.

The Spanish-Brazilian striker is already in Valencia and will begin his recovery in the coming days. The problem is that Marcos André will not arrive on time at the end of the course. The striker closes the course with 19 games played and one goal. The player has a contract with Valencia until June 2026.
