Marcelo Bielsa and his version of the Day of Tradition

Marcelo bielsa appeared this Wednesday with mate, cupcakes and a thermos with the Newell’s shield and the Argentine flag, as a celebration of the Tradition day, in an image posted by Leeds United’s Spanish account.

“Mate and pastries can never be absent … Neither work and passion. Happy Tradition Day for all the Argentine people!”They tweeted from the English club.

Bielsa, with his usual training clothes, has three paintings behind him: two belong to the English club and the third to the Rosario stadium that bears his name (Coloso Marcelo Bielsa) with Newell’s bias in the Diego Armando Maradona rostrum.

The image is completed with the Monument to the flag located in the city that gave birth to the former Argentine national team between 1998 and 2004.

Bielsa joined Leeds in the 2018/2019 season and achieved promotion to the Premier League, in 2019/2020, after 16 years. Since then, El Loco is considered a benchmark in the city.

In the current season, things have not been going so well for him: he is in 15th, three points from the relegation zone after 11 dates. Anyway, he maintains a three-game unbeaten streak (two draws, one loss) and will resume action on Sunday the 21st, when he visits Tottenham.
