Marcell Ozuna is arrested for driving under the influence of substances

The Dominican player of the Atlanta Braves, Marcell Ozuna, was arrested early this Friday for driving under the influence of substances.

The baseball player was taken to the Gwinnett police station in Georgia at 4:39 a.m. this Friday, according to the US media CBS46.

The aforementioned media does not specify the substance.

Ozuna, 31, was also arrested in 2021 after being charged with felony assault after Sandy Springs police said he they saw him strangle his wife.

In November 2021, Major League Baseball Commissioner Robert D. Manfred Jr. announced that Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozunawas suspended without pay for 20 games regular season for violating Major League Baseball’s Joint Policy on Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse.

“My office has completed its investigation into allegations that Marcell Ozuna violated Major League Baseball’s Joint Policy on Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse."indicates the statement published that time on the case.

Marcell Ozuna comes from playing in the Dominican winter league with Gigantes del Cibao, team that finished champion in the season. He was the most valuable player of the Final Series against Estrellas Orientales.
