Newcomer Manushi Chhillar has revealed that she got caught in a sandstorm in the Rajasthan desert while filming a crucial scene in ‘Prithviraj’, starring Akshay Kumar. A part of ‘Prithviraj’ has been shot in Jaisalmer, in the middle of the Thar desert. One day during filming, the crew had to evacuate immediately due to a sandstorm, but unfortunately, Manushi got caught in the middle of it.
Manushi says that I was on top of a sand dune and the team had to shoot me from below. I was trying to say something, but I couldn’t hear anything. They were also pointing at me, shaking my hand and yelling, but there was no sound and I thought they were talking about the scene. Suddenly, a person from the choreography team pushed me down and I rolled down the sand dune, after which they caught me.
He adds that it was a bit scary, the truck was destroyed and there was a blackout. They took me to my vanity van. We resumed filming after a while.
‘Prithviraj’ is directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, known for directing the TV epic ‘Chanakya’ and the critically acclaimed movie ‘Pinjar’. ‘Prithviraj’ is scheduled for release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
