In a video shared on the platform, he says, “There’s a growing demand in the country to remove Aurangzeb’s tomb in Maharashtra. I disagree with this notion. Why should it be removed?”
Muntashir’s argument is rooted in the fact that when the Hindu community was constructing the Ram Janmbhoomi temple, some people were quick to point out that God is omnipresent, and therefore, there’s no need for a physical temple. He questions the double standards being applied in this situation, emphasizing that if the tomb is removed, it would be a form of disrespect. The writer suggests an alternative solution, saying, “I request the Indian government to consider building a toilet on top of Aurangzeb’s tomb instead. After all, we Hindus can offer urine and salt to that murderer as a form of donation.” He also addresses those who claim that India does not belong to anyone’s father, saying, “With utmost humility, I’d like to tell them that our fathers did have a claim to this land, and we still do.”
This isn’t the first time Muntashir has spoken out on a sensitive topic. On February 10, he expressed his concerns about the Ranveer Allahbadia issue, where the comedian’s conversation was widely criticized. Muntashir took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his disappointment, writing, “This is the level of comedy that has brought humanity down. A virus more dangerous than COVID has entered our mobile phones. These monsters, these perverted individuals, have vowed to deprive our future generations of their values.” He also warned parents to be cautious of such content and demanded immediate action from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting against the panel members involved.
