Manoj Bajpayee’s film ‘Inspector Jende’ just hit the streaming screens. It’s quickly earning praise and sparking conversations. But the buzz isn’t only about the movie itself. Bajpayee recently shared candid thoughts on his long-time friend, director Anurag Kashyap. He gave a unique peek into their bond, which has stood strong for years.
Their friendship goes way back to their early days in the industry. They even joined forces on the cult classic film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur.’ This shows just how deep their connection runs. Yet, like any long relationship, there have been a few disagreements along the way. Manoj Bajpayee’s recent comments about Kashyap have now brought their dynamic into the spotlight.
A Filmmaker’s Unyielding Spirit
Bajpayee opened up during a chat with Bollywood Hungama. He praised Kashyap for his unwavering beliefs. “Anurag stands firm because of his strong conviction,” Bajpayee explained. “He’s made a lot of enemies in the process. He even broke his hand once in anger. He’s also fallen ill at times. But he never backs down from what he believes.” Bajpayee thinks Kashyap could be a role model for other filmmakers. He suggests everyone should look at Kashyap’s journey and learn from it.
Practicality Versus Passion
Bajpayee sees a bit of himself in Kashyap. “Anurag and I share a similar kind of anger,” he admitted. However, Bajpayee sees a key difference between them. “I’m much more practical than him,” he noted. “Anurag is practical too, but sometimes he loses his cool.” Bajpayee shared an interesting observation. He knows Kashyap is losing his balance when he starts replying to internet trolls. “But then, he bounces back,” Bajpayee added. “He always gets back on track.” It seems Bajpayee understands his friend’s fiery spirit better than anyone.
