Manchester City join the bid for De Ligt

As reported by the prestigious Italian media CalcioMercato, the Manchester City are interested in the current situation of Matthijs de Ligt thinking of reinforcing his defense for the next season of European football.

The 22-year-old Dutch central defender is not happy with his current situation at Juventus in Turin because he is not a footballer of the confidence of Massimiliano Allegri (he has 12 games played in all competitions with a total of 662 minutes) and the club is far from having a project capable of winning important titles, so it does not want to stall its progression.

Manchester City appears on the scene

The Skyblue team is one of the main interested in taking over their services, taking into account that they would add to their squad one of the best young center-backs in the world and a footballer who has the conditions to dominate Europe in the next decade.

Although they do not need centrals at the moment, the plan is to leave Nathan Aké in the next summer market to add De Ligt to the rotation alongside names like Rúben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones, in which he would be the best of the world by far.

Chelsea have also shown interest in him due to how difficult the signing of Jules Koundé has become, despite the fact that Thomas Tuchel did not close the door of a possible move by the French in the next markets.
